Well, here we are at the end of another week and on the doorstep of another Free Music Friday. The sad news that musician Bob Welch has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound crossed our desks yesterday. It seems as if rock’s royalty is disappearing at an alarming rate these days. As much as we would like to pay each one of them our respects and send them on their way from this world with a fitting tribute, we’re beginning to think that this blog could quickly turn in to an obituary section, something none of us wants. So as much as we can we are going to keep mention of death to a bare minimum and get on with music news for the living. This one’s for Bob.
