Sunset Sessions Series – Halloran Interviews Salvador Santana
Hosted by Michael Halloran. Produced by Myles Crawley. Edited by Rich Aquino.

Once again, we present an artist who is the product of a musical household and musical parents. In Salvador Santana’s case, it was his father Carlos. At a young age, Carlos Santana crossed the border to the USA and climbed the musical ladder the hard way. Salvador, on the other hand, did things a bit differently – by attending university and learning about music theory and composition. Still, these two are undeniably cut from the same fabric. Salvador, like his father, is gentle, soft spoken, highly intelligent and has nothing but kind words to say about everyone. Last week Salvador invited us to his performance at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California. He put on a great show and his band was smoking hot, especially his drummer. His new album, “Keyboard City” is out now. Go and get it. And if Salvador Santana comes to a venue near you, go and see him. You won’t be disappointed.
