Keane Go Analog For Legendary United Record Pressing
On September 18th Keane will release Upstairs At United – Vol. 5, a special edition 4 track vinyl 12 inch. The disc was recorded in analog for Nashville based label 453 Music, a division of United Record Pressing. This special edition is available for pre-order here.
The band performed a stripped down version of four catalog songs for an exclusive “Upstairs At United” series of all-analog recordings in one take straight to tape, inside the historic United Record Pressing plant in Nashville, Tennessee.
All recordings are captured directly to analog tape, then cut to 12” EP’s at 45 RPM. Mastering engineer, Chris Mara from analog recording studio Welcome To 1979, supervised the recording process.
The vinyl is presented in a Kraft-style packaging that highlights the authentic approach used in making these records. It includes session specific inserts with color photos from the recording session, and is delivered in archival quality re-sealable poly bags.

Keane will be donating their royalty from this release to the Scott Johnson Bursary, a fund set up by Scott’s parents to benefit young musicians at schools in Rotherham, UK. A close friend and colleague for many years, Scott tragically passed away earlier this year. For more information visit here.
Keane released their fourth studio set Strangeland May 8th on Cherrytree/Interscope Records. The band continues their world tour with a stop back in the states September 2nd to perform at Bumbershoot in Seattle.
