Artist Profile – Ry Cuming – Interview And Acoustic Performance

    By Myles Crawley

In February of this year, while we were at Michele Clark’s Sunset Sessions, we met Australian artist Ry Cuming. Ry is one of those rare individuals that just seem to be able to roll with everything life throws at them. He’s happy go lucky from the word go and it comes through in his music and lyrics. The best way to describe it is with a word that spilled out of Ry’s own mouth – “organic”.

Album Review – Citizen Cope’s The Rainwater LP

    By: Alana Crawley

Laidback hipster, Citizen Cope, has once again captivated his listeners with what many people would consider to be his best work yet.  In his newest album, The Rainwater LP, Cope, aka Clarence Greenwood, has beautifully blended soul, hip-hop, rock ‘n’ roll, blues and reggae into one giant, sonic masterpiece.  The name says it all: this album is fresh, clean, and pure.  With its vinyl-like sound, it delivers the un-watered down musical interpretation that Cope intended for his listener to hear.

Sunset Sessions Series – Josiah Leming

Hosted by Michael Halloran. Produced by Myles Crawley. Interview edited by Rich Aquino. Performance edited by Ryan Parker.

    By: Myles Crawley

Well, today’s the day I have been savoring for some time. While we were at Sunset Sessions we met a guy named Josiah Leming. Like Megan Corkrey, Josiah was flying under the radar. He wasn’t performing at Sunset Sessions. He wasn’t really supposed to be there at all. He had been brought down to Rancho Bernardo by Perry Watts-Russell and Julie Muncy from Warner/Reprise Records. Like Megan, Josiah was on American Idol. I think he made it to #20 or something.
