    Is Bono The UK’s Richest Rock Star?

    Last year we published an article that listed the UK’s Richest Rock Stars. With recent IPO events unfolding, we thought it might be a good idea to take another look at that list. At the time of our original publishing, Sir Paul McCartney was at the top with approximately $750 million in personal wealth. With a quarter of a billion dollar lead over his closest rival Sir Elton John, it seemed like it was going to be quite some time before anyone unseated the great Macca. Indeed, even Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (#3 & #4 consecutively) didn’t stand much of a chance since there was a half billion dollar gap between the Beatle and the Stones.

    The Rolling Stones Prepare To Re-Release ‘Some Girls’

    On November 21, 2011 the Rolling Stones will release re-mastered, expanded, Super-Deluxe, Deluxe and Digital editions of Some Girls, the groundbreaking album which introduced the music of the band to a whole new generation of fans.

    Justly considered one of the finest works by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Ronnie Wood, Some Girls topped the US charts over three decades ago and remains the best selling album of their storied career. This new package will include some undiscovered gems that include tracks that have recently been unearthed from the Rolling Stones vaults by producer Don Was. Further details of the tracks will be unveiled at a later date.
