Music Festival held at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington (good one, Washington State) it should be stated first and foremost that yes, Tenacious D did have a giant blown up penis casually stationed behind the pair onstage. But more about that later.

    Seattle’s Beat Connection Plays Sasquatch

    Seattle-based Beat Connection has debuted “The Palace Garden, 4am,” the first single off of their debut LP, The Palace Garden, out June 19 on Moshi Moshi / Tender Age.  The band will appear at Sasquatch Music Festival this Sunday May 27th, two weeks before launching their first headlining North American tour with White Arrows. They performed at SXSW this year, after touring with STRFKR this past fall where they played to sold-out rooms and earned rave reviews for their fantastic live set. Their appearance at Sasquatch kicks off a new tour that will take them crisscrossing the US and Canada until late July (tour dates below).

    An Incredible New Video From Explosions In The Sky

    Explosions In The Sky just released an incredible new music video for “Postcard From 1952“, from their fifth studio album Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, released on Temporary Residence Ltd. Directed by Annie Gunn and Peter Simonite, “Postcard From 1952″ employs yet another expansively cinematic track from Take Care, Take Care, Take Care as the perfect compliment to an indelible visual experience. Gunn and Simonite re-create a series of vintage Polaroid moments with painstaking care to every detail from vintage styling to flash cube lighting for a trip back in time that explores moments before and after these memory fragments were captured.     Feist Announces New World Tour

    Following her highly acclaimed fall tour, Feist announces a new string of state side spring and summer dates in support of Metals (Cherrytree/Interscope). Kicking things off with a two weekend stint at Coachella, Feist will make stops everywhere from Austin, TX, to the famed Radio City Music Hall in New York City, a headlining spot at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, IL, and a set at the famed New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

    Los Angeles, California’s own Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton, collectively known as Electric Guest, are pleased to announce the release of “This Head I Hold” on March 26th through Because Music. Produced by Danger Mouse, the track is taken from their debut album Mondo which is set to drop on April 23rd.

    Explosions In The Sky has followed up recent news of the band’s appearances at this year’s Coachella and Sasquatch festivals with its first confirmed headline dates of the new year. The new shows expand on an itinerary that has included Explosions In The Sky’s biggest ever headline dates–from New York’s Radio City Music Hall to last month’s performance at London’s Brixton Academy–and a debut performance on The Late Show With David Letterman.
