Music celebrities have often used their status to gain attention for the charities they support. Stars such as Annie Lennox, Bono of U2, Michael Jackson, Sheryl Crow and many more have all participated in using their music to reach out to their fans to promote awareness, action and advocacy for causes that are worthwhile.
Annie Lennox is a celebrity not only for her voice but for her work with charities. She is a supporter of the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), Greenpeace and Amnesty International.
The music video Sing was created to draw awareness to the epidemic of HIV/AIDS that is sweeping over Africa. The song is led by Annie Lennox but other famous voices heard in the song are Pink, Bonnie Raitt, Shakira, Joss Stone, Dido and many other famous women.

Annie Lennox has launched a new SING campaign for 2009. The new campaign focus is on women who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. All the funds raised by SING help prevent AIDS and to treat those living with HIV.
